Established in 1988, the Gringo’s M.C. began its origins several years earlier in the town of Terhagen, Belgium. A group of close friends, whom developed into a band of brothers longing for the open road on two wheels.
Making families a priority along with jobs, trades, careers etc. This group of brothers was able to adopt and apply the concepts of brotherhood and brand it with Gringo’s M.C. Terhagen.
Not much more is known of the early days, however what is known today has been painstakingly gathered by a special team of archeologists and anthropologists. These teams recently discovered ancient Gringo’s gathering sites, finding a high number of empty beer bottles, fire pits, animal bones, a panty or two, bras and the “Ancient Scroll of Gringo’s.” The scroll, made of deer skin and written in a mixture of charcoal and gunpowder, is barely legible in its’ native language, thus making translation very difficult. We suspect the scroll chronicles’ the Gringo’s along with MC bylaws, etc.
What is a Gringo?
Simply put, we’re brothers. We are not friends, acquaintances’ or whatever the flavor of the day is. We have taken the relation to the next level and committed ourselves to the well being of our brothers. Oh, and we ride too!
A Gringo is not White (contrary to popular belief), a tourist ‘South of the border’, Black, Latino, Asian, or whatever else. A Gringo is a “Stranger in a Strange Land”, a foreigner, one who is not common to a single place, one who is a stranger. We apply this concept in ideology, the idea of one’s state of mind, thoughts, beliefs, morals, etc. We are strangers because of how we think, how we approach, how we live and how we perceive the world around us. What does that mean? Concepts such as brotherhood are foreign to the every day John and Jane Doe but remain central to the Gringo.
How does one become a Gringo?
Simple, get to know us, and we get to know you. Through this relationship we will both learn if this is the right thing for you. We do not force ourselves on anyone and we always welcome those who just want to ride. We are outlaws in spirit, not by trade. NO COPS! We don’t ask for anything other than one’s honesty and trust.
We like to have a fun and we front no attitude. Ride with respect for those that do and come on out and hang with us.
